WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Essential • Wide knowledge of the European film industry based on working experience • Knowledge of European producers and the producing landscape • Strong understanding of the independent film producer’s voice and role • Must be prepared to travel extensively in Europe (10-12 times per year likely minimum) • Proven leadership skills • Must demonstrate ability and experience to lead and drive the organisation, making evidence-based decisions, while also being open to input • Experience of stakeholder management. Able to listen to and engage with a wide range of stakeholders • Familiar with Creative Europe MEDIA and institutional finance, including budget delivery and reporting requirements • Management experience (including managing teams and HR management) evidenced by managing a company or teams in a larger organisation • Business planning and strategic planning experience • Budget management experience with strong attention to detail • Experience of administration supervision • Exceptional communication skills including dealing with people from the diverse range of European cultures • Fluent in English • Amsterdam based role at main office, necessitating residence in The Netherlands • Eligible to work in The Netherlands or apply for work permit • Computer literate with clear understanding of Microsoft Office applications and ability to upskill in necessary technical areas • Confident in public speaking • Clear understanding of ACE’s purpose and that the role (and organisation) is Selfless and therefore about serving the Association, its members and its aims • No conflicts of interest exist with any other organizations or businesses Desirable: • Ability to speak Dutch • Ability to speak further European languages • Knowledge of the leading film festivals (Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Series Mania) • Wide knowledge of the European TV industry based on working experience • Experience of relationships with film funds across Europe
