Hello there! I'm Thomas, the director of Metamorph, an experimental psychological short film (10–15 minutes) currently in development. I'm looking for an actress to play the lead role of Lena.

Metamorph follows a young woman who escapes reality through excess, nightlife and constant stimulation, until something begins to challenge the life she has built for herself.

The film is open to interpretation, but it definitely explores identity, purpose, perception, and the question of what makes a life worth living.

What we offer
This is a low budget independent film. Unfortunately, we cannot currently offer a performance fee. Food will be provided and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

In return, you'll be taking on the central role in an ambitious experimental short film, with footage that can be used for your portfolio/showreel.

Young woman, approximately 22–28

Lena appears to have everything. She is confident, charismatic, effortlessly captivating, and immersed in an exciting nightlife. She knows how to enjoy herself and seems completely comfortable in her own world.

But when that world begins to be questioned, the confidence starts to fracture. Beneath the surface, Lena doesn't really know who she is or why she exists. This is a non-verbal role. Lena's emotions and inner world are communicated entirely through expression and movement, not by speaking.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are searching for someone with:

- A natural and captivating on-screen presence.
- Confidence expressing emotion without dialogue.
- Openness to artistic collaboration during rehearsals and on set.
- Dance or movement experience is very welcome, but not required.
-A genuine love for cinema :)

APPEARANCE
Lena is written as someone whose outward beauty and confidence contrast with the emotional emptiness she experiences internally. We are looking for someone who can convincingly embody that contrast. This is a narrative requirement, not a beauty contest.

INTIMACY & WARDROBE
The film contains sensual, non-explicit imagery that supports Lena's character and the story. This may include revealing clothing appropriate to the character, resulting visible shoulders, back, legs or midriff.

There will be no nudity, sexual activity or anything like it. Any potentially intimate or revealing material will be discussed clearly in advance. Nothing will be expected without your prior agreement, and your comfort and consent are essential.

Period
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The longest scene will be filmed in a studio in Amsterdam. Other locations and dates are not yet fully fixed.

The current target is November 2026, somewhere in the Netherlands. Because the production is still being planned, the availability of the actress will be an important factor in determining the shooting schedule.

You and your role are the priority, so we'll build the production around the practical possibilities as much as we can.
